The Bachelor’s educational and professional program is aimed at providing students with theoretical knowledge and general and professional competencies for successful recreation and tourism professional activities.
Goal of the educational program.
To train highly qualified and competitive specialists with: sound theoretical knowledge; proficiency in professional English; general and professional competencies required for successful recreation and tourism professional activities; wide access to employment and clear understanding of regularities of Ukraine’s social, political and economic development in the global community, who realize their role in this process and are ready to fulfill their professional responsibilities at government institutions and enterprises of different levels, forms and types of ownership.

Training of Bachelors is based on the combination of social science, language and communication, information, technological, local history and recreation, social, educational and economic components.

Specialty 242 "Tourism and Recreation"
The specialty "Tourism and Recreation" is an exciting and promising field that provides higher education students with unique opportunities for development in travel, leisure, and entertainment. The specialty "Tourism and Recreation" is a promising direction for training highly qualified personnel for the tourism sector who are fluent in foreign languages and can practically use tourism navigation programs, GPS technologies, and geoinformation support for the tourism industry. Tourism specialists study the principles of commercial activity organization, marketing research methodology, and management specifics in the field of tourism services.
Specialists in this field are prepared for the following main types of economic activity: determining forms, types, directions, and specialization of tourism and recreational activities; development and economic justification of tourism projects or products; analysis of activities, planning, forecasting, and development of promising directions for tourism enterprise development; organization of development, implementation, and marketing of tourism products; organization of partnerships and foreign economic activity of tourism enterprises; participation in organizing scientific research, its implementation, and implementation of obtained results; personnel training.
Specialty 053 "Psychology"
In the system of modern scientific knowledge, psychology occupies a special place defined by its specifics, as it combines theoretical foundations on which it is based and practical activities with various clients. Psychology specialists can act as mediators in the system of interaction between individuals, families, and society, actively influence the creation of positive relationships in society, harmonize relationships between people, support useful initiatives, stimulate various types of assistance, conduct psychological research, etc.
The main goal of the "Psychology" specialty is to provide education in social and behavioral sciences with broad employment opportunities for successful professional self-realization in the labor market, to form the basic competencies of a psychologist capable of independent work and continuing education.
Objectives of the specialty:
- training new type specialists who would contribute to reforming psychological services, equipping students with special skills, innovative knowledge, and experience in their application;
- ensuring education level in accordance with European and state higher education standards;
- training specialists with specialization in medical, legal, economic psychology, and sports psychology;
- mastering methods of conducting psychological training, psychodiagnostics, counseling, correctional and developmental work.
Specialists in this field can perform research, educational, managerial, psychodiagnostic, consultative, and psychocorrective work: in scientific and educational institutions of various levels; in social institutions dealing with social and psychological assistance; economic institutions, performing personnel duties; medical institutions, providing psychological support to patients; in law enforcement structures, participating in law enforcement activities along with other specialists. Psychologists also develop recommendations and implement psychohygienic measures to improve conditions for learning, education, and human production activities.

Specialty 035 "Philology"
The specialty "Philology" is focused on training erudite specialists in philology who are proficient in two foreign languages and capable of solving complex problems in linguistics, literary studies, and translation in professional activities; ready to work in areas requiring professional language proficiency.
The specialty "Philology" is oriented towards:
- studying the fundamentals of general translation theory, linguistics, psycholinguistics, comparative lexicology, etc.;
- training specialists in industry-specific translation from foreign languages to Ukrainian in general language use, as well as in the legal sphere, business and business communications;
- teaching in Ukrainian and foreign languages;
- training specialists to perform translation from Ukrainian into foreign languages, as well as to solve complex specialized practical tasks of interlingual communication in legal and business spheres;
- using information technologies and automated text translation technologies.
The relevance of training specialists in specialty 035 "Philology" is determined by the needs in translation of scientific and technical literature and documentation. Philologists-translators perform oral and written translations, consult on translation issues, teach foreign languages in secondary and higher educational institutions, work in translation bureaus, organizations of industrialists and entrepreneurs, etc.
Today, foreign language has a special status and is the most important means not only of all types of international communication (casual and purposeful, formal and informal, commercial-industrial, political, diplomatic, etc.) but also a means of acquiring and disseminating scientific research and professional knowledge in general.
The specialty "Philology" provides students with the opportunity to obtain thorough knowledge of foreign philology and find promising work in state, private, and foreign companies of various profiles. The specifics of the profession allow working remotely and having a flexible work schedule.

The Department of Tourism and Social-Humanitarian Disciplines is an educational and scientific division of the ESI "European School of Business." The department was established in 2021.
The opening of the new school department was marked by eventful moments in the history of the International European University's development. During the development of this young and ambitious higher education institution, marked by the creation and partial merger of separate structural units, the idea of opening a new Department of Tourism and Educational Management emerged. At the time of its founding, it was headed by a tourism industry expert, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor T. Yu. Dudka.
The newly created department included a competent team of scientific and pedagogical staff with extensive experience in higher education institutions and in leadership positions in sectoral government bodies.
Currently, the Department of Tourism and Social-Humanitarian Disciplines ensures the implementation of educational programs at the first level of higher education in specialties 242 "Tourism and Recreation," 053 "Psychology," and 035 "Philology."
The Department of Tourism and Social-Humanitarian Disciplines is responsible for the level of specialist training, curriculum development, organization and supervision of qualification works, industrial practice, coordination of professional orientation in teaching educational components by specialty, and organization of examination commission work.
The department's international activities are aimed at ensuring effective cooperation with partner educational institutions and scientists from various European countries, searching for, studying, and implementing the best foreign experience in research and teaching methods, expanding the mobility of teaching staff and students, and adapting to European standards while preserving the best practices of national education.
The main directions of the department's international cooperation are: collaboration with international educational institutions; utilization of international experience in scientific and educational-methodological work; organization of internships and professional development for department teachers; involvement of scientific-pedagogical staff and students in international projects; promotion of scientific and project cooperation with foreign colleagues.
The Department of Social-Humanitarian Sciences closely cooperates with specialized departments of several foreign universities, including: Marta Abreu Central University in Las Villas, Cuba; Holy Cross College at Notre Dame, Indiana, USA; Huzhou University, China; Le Mans Université, France; and Belarusian State Pedagogical University named after Maxim Tank.
The department's scientific work is multi-vectored and aimed at improving and developing the professional level, pedagogical skills, and scientific qualifications of all faculty members. The department organizes student research work, which is an integral part of the educational process and scientific work performed outside of class time. The department actively participates in the university's scientific activities and has dynamically developing strong scientific connections with numerous scientific and educational institutions.
The main directions of the department's scientific activities include: preparation and publication of scientific works (monographs, articles, conference abstracts, etc.) in leading domestic and foreign publications; organization and conduct of annual international scientific-practical conferences; scientific internships and professional development of faculty members at educational institutions in Ukraine and abroad; participation of department teachers in scientific conferences and seminars at various levels; scientific cooperation with leading scientific and educational institutions, enterprises, and organizations; supervision of student research work, involving talented youth in scientific work through participation in scientific circles, conferences, competitions, etc.
Department of Information Technology is an education and research unit of the European Business School.
General information
International European University founded the Department of Information Technology in 2021. The Department is led by Oleksandr Nesterenko, a well-known scientist and specialist in information systems and technologies, Doctor of Science (Techn.), associate professor, senior researcher, Honorary Communicator of Ukraine, Honored employee of the service sector of Ukraine.
Department history
The establishment of the Department as part of the European Business School was accompanied by rich events in the history of International European University development. While developing the young and ambitious higher education institution marked by the creation of individual structural units, one came up with an idea of founding the Department of Information Technology headed by Oleksandr Nesterenko, one of Ukraine’s well-known scientists.
The newly founded Department involves the competent academic staff with wide experience in higher education institutions and in leading and specialized positions at IT companies. The current teaching staff of the Department are the authors of several hundred scientific and methodical works (including textbooks, guides, monographs, scientific articles, and foreign publications).
At the initial stage of its functioning, the author team of the newly established Department, consisting of Doctor of Science (Techn.) Oleksandr Nesterenko, Doctor of Science (Physics and Mathematics) Anatolii Kudin, and PhD in Technical Science Oleksandr Falovskyi, developed the first educational program in the Information technology knowledge area: Software Engineering. The demand for IT industry development in Ukraine affected the name of the Department and the content of the educational program. The latter includes educational components aimed at training highly skilled professionals ready for successful professional activities in programming and management of software projects at the national and international levels.
Besides, the academic staff developed author’s courses focused on in-depth study of software development disciplines and training of future IT professionals to implement application functions at startups, small firms, and large companies.
Department’s scientific activities
Research activities of the academic staff cover relevant issues of the development of information technology, in particular, digitalization of the educational process. Department-wide research topic: Research on the development of higher education potential based on online teaching and learning. The Department team pays great attention to student scientific activities. On the initiative of Oleksandr Nesterenko, the Head of the Department, one started the preparation of student scientific papers for publication in the university’s electronic scientific journal titled Scientific and Student Discourse in order to promote the development of student science at the university https://ieu.edu.ua/nauka/naukove-tovarystvo/naukovo-students-kij-diskurs/naukovo-students-kij-diskurs-ukrajins-ka-mova .
The teaching staff of the Department are involved in the editorial board of journals and organizing committees of international scientific conferences (in particular, collections of scientific papers: Society. Economy. Digitalization, Environmental Safety and Nature Management; journals: WSEAS Transactions on Environment and Development, Journal of Electromagnetics; International Scientific Conference: Mathematics And Computers In Science & Engineering. MACISE, etc.).
The Department cooperates with the Institute of Software Systems of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Ukraine’s and world’s well-known scientific institution engaged in the development of fundamental and applied scientific research in programming and information technology.
The agenda includes the development of department’s international activities, particularly in terms of close cooperation withindustry-specific departments of foreign universities.
